Sheldon started his career in information technology (IT). He was primarily focused on software programming - and leading a network support team.

Not forgetting how mesmerized he was as a child watching his father repair a plant by remotely connecting to it over a phone line, he transitioned to operational technology (OT) roles. In those roles, he focused on the agricultural and energy sectors, once more assuming the primary support role.

Today, Sheldon works at Schneider Electric where his primary focus is EcoStruxure Automation Expert. This solution is "opening" the automation industry and allowing him to leverage the benefits of IT and OT to maximize his customer's processes.

Doug leads AVEVA’s HMI/SCADA Business Area to support clients in addressing challenges with cloud and SaaS strategies, IT/OT convergence, cybersecurity, edge management, sustainability, energy transition, and digital transformation.

AVEVA's HMI/SCADA offering includes established brands such as Wonderware, Citect, OASyS, and Enterprise Visualization products, to name a few. Doug is focused on providing leadership to expand beyond the control room and manufacturing floor with advanced information management and analytics capabilities that are transforming the way industry thinks about industrial data and data sharing opportunities.

Meet Mark, a seasoned automation and SCADA programmer consultant with over 27 years of experience across various industries including oil & gas, energy & utilities, food & beverage, manufacturing, petrochemical, refining, and water & wastewater.

Mark's expertise encompasses leadership, technical proficiency, and problem-solving skills in automation project management, design, execution, operations, maintenance, instrumentation, control systems, and cybersecurity for SCADA OT environments.

With over a decade of managerial experience, Mark has successfully led multidisciplinary teams, delivering high-quality work through collaboration with clients, project teams, contractors, vendors, operations, maintenance, regulators, and industry peers.

ADRIAN BRYKSA

True North Solutions

Adrian Bryksa, currently True North Solutions' Business Manager for OT Digital Infrastructure, previously served as IT Director at Whitecap Resources for 9 years. He played a pivotal role in driving the company's production growth from 17,000 BOE/D in 2013 to approximately 167,000 BOE/D in 2023, largely through acquisitions. Adrian adeptly addressed challenges related to diverse acquired assets with varying OT environment maturities.

In his role, he led stakeholder engagement initiatives, including with the board of directors, to develop comprehensive multi-year plans for assessing and remediating these environments. Adrian is eager to contribute his insights on the journey of IT/OT convergence and share experiences to help companies enhance the maturity and security of their operations.
